How long does the lash adhesive need to dry before applying lashes?
No waiting required — you can apply your lashes immediately.
How much adhesive should I use?
The Bond Wand is designed to hold strong, so a little goes a long way. Use only the smallest amount needed — applying too much can leave lashes feeling tacky rather than natural.
Where do the lashes actually stick to?
Your DIY lashes attach to the underside of your top lash, directly on the hair shaft — they never touch the skin. This is exactly why they're such a great option for sensitive eyes: applied correctly, you won't even feel them.
Can I trim the lashes to fit my eye shape?
Yes — using the scissors provided in your kit, trim from the outer edge of the wide cluster lashes before applying if they're longer than your eye shape.
Wear & Longevity
How long do DIY lashes last — one day, or multiple days?
Generally around 7 days, depending on your application. Many customers find they get even longer wear with a bit of practice.
Can I sleep in my DIY lashes?
Yes! Just avoid applying them right before bed — giving the adhesive time to fully set first will get you the best results.
Can I get them wet — shower, swimming, crying?
Once fully set, the adhesive is water-resistant, though prolonged soaking (like swimming or long showers) will shorten wear time. If they do get wet, pat gently rather than rubbing.
Can I wear mascara with DIY lashes?
Yes, though it's not necessary. If you do, use a light hand and remove with an oil-free makeup remover so you don't weaken the bond early.
Do DIY lashes work with oily eyelids?
Oily lids can shorten wear time. A light dusting of translucent powder on the lid before application can help the adhesive grip better.
Removal
How do I remove my DIY lashes?
Use the Lash Remover included in your kit (also available on its own). Apply it and let it soak in for 20–30 seconds, then use the remover wand to run gently through your lashes until the falses start to release. Wipe away residue and repeat as needed. You'll likely still have some adhesive on your natural lashes afterward — that's normal, just keep going until they're clean. Because our Bond Wand adhesive is built to last for days, it can take a couple of rounds to fully remove.
Can I reuse the lashes after removing them?
Yes — and honestly, this is one of our favourite parts! Your lashes are fully reusable and won't lose shape from water or wear and tear. Just clean them with a little remover, rinse in water, and they're ready to go again.
Can I wear makeup with my DIY lashes, and how do I remove it?
Absolutely, DIY lashes can be worn with or without makeup. When removing your makeup, use your normal cleanser or remover, just working carefully around the lash area — a cotton tip is handy here. Your lashes can get wet without an issue, but try to avoid rubbing or friction while cleanser is on them, as this can cause premature lift. It takes a little practice, and it's worth it — done correctly, this habit actually helps your lashes last even longer.
Will DIY lashes damage my natural lashes?
Applied and removed correctly, no — your natural lashes should be completely unaffected. Just be gentle during removal to avoid tugging, and know that our Lash Remover is formulated to nourish your natural lashes as it works.
Troubleshooting
My tweezers keep getting sticky and everything starts sticking to them — help!
Such a common one, and an easy fix. Make sure you're gripping the lash right at the very tip, not near the base — gripping too close to the base means your tweezers hit the adhesive first. If they do get sticky, a little remover from your kit on the tweezers will fix it instantly.
Why won't my lashes stick?
First, double check you're using the "bond" end of the Bond Wand, not the seal, to adhere the lashes. Then — and this is the step people most often skip — make sure you seal them after applying, exactly as shown in our how-to video. Apply a little sealer to the precision applicator and gently clamp it over the lashes at the natural base to fuse and lock them in. This one step makes all the difference in keeping them secure and lift-free.
I can't get my lashes on straight — they look wonky. What am I doing wrong?
Start with the lash in the middle of your eye — it's the easiest, since your natural lashes grow straight out here with no tricky angles. Use the lightest touch possible; too much pressure is usually what causes lashes to twist or shift. Place underneath, lift gently, and let go. Once your middle lash is set, work outward toward each corner — it gets much easier from there.
My eyes are watering or feel a little irritated — is that normal?
A small amount of watering while you get used to the sensation can be normal. Ongoing irritation is not — if it persists, remove your lashes and discontinue use. If you have sensitive eyes, we always recommend a patch test before full application.
Why do my lashes look uneven side to side?
Apply one eye fully, then check yourself straight-on in the mirror (not at an angle) before starting the second eye. Also double check you're using the same lash size on both eyes — every tray includes a sizing guide to help you match them up.
Product & Ingredients
Is this safe for sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers?
Yes — our Bond Wand and Remover are formulated to be safe for sensitive eyes. As always, we recommend a patch test 24 hours before first use: apply a small amount to your skin and watch for any reaction (redness, itching, swelling). Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
I was allergic to salon lash extension glue — will I react to this too?
Good news: our Bond Wand uses a completely different adhesive formulation to salon lash extension glue, which is exactly why so many people have made the switch to Alarna Make Up Solutions DIY Lashes. That said, we still always recommend a patch test 24 hours before use, just to be safe.
Is this cruelty-free and vegan?
100%, yes.
Are the lashes reusable, and how many times?
Yes — reuse them again and again. They're built to hold their shape no matter how wet they get. We tested hundreds of samples during development to make sure our lashes hold up beautifully in water and with repeated use, unlike many other lashes on the market that wilt after just a few wears.
How should I store the Bond Wand and Remover?
Simply make sure the lid is sealed tightly after every use, or the product may dry out.
Is this latex-free?
Yes — latex is a common skin irritant, so we made sure our formula is completely latex-free.
Buying & Care
Which lash style should I choose?
Wide Cluster — the easiest to apply, since the wide base means just a few lashes give you full coverage.
Individual — for the most natural look, with a base so small it's nearly invisible. Takes a little more practice, but so worth it.
Feather — for a lighter, softer look.
Volume — for a fuller, more dramatic finish.
Black — for definition and drama.
Brown — for softness and subtle enhancement.
Still not sure which to pick? Grab one kit in your first-choice style, then just a single tray of another type to try — your Bond Wand and Remover work across all styles, so there's no need to buy a second full kit.
I prefer shorter lashes — can I choose my size?
Yes — every lash style is available in 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm individually, as well as in mixed trays with a range of sizes for you to try.
Your bulk buy deal is 3 trays for the price of 4 (buy 3, get 1 free) — can I mix and match styles?
The bulk buy deal applies to the same lash type. However, you can fully customise your own sizes from the drop-down menu and still save 25% when you choose that option.
